It is located on the outskirts of Almancil, a town that has experienced a growing increase in construction density.


The land is rectangular, with relatively flat topography along its northern boundary, sloping south and west as we move into the interior of the plot.


The aim was to recapture the memory of Algarve's popular architecture, particularly the narrow and deep linear neighborhoods, which rely on the overall image, such as the fishing villages of Olhão and Fuzeta.


A single road, starting straight, perpendicular to the main road, gradually curves until it fades at the end of the plot. This gesture complements the strong visual identity of the project as a whole. A continuous line of construction to the south, parallel to the road, conceals the built mass and frees the northern part of the land from any type of construction volume.


The built mass to the north, enclosed, is complemented by the empty area to the north, where a common garden can be created.


Each lot is occupied by a single-family home, featuring several architectural elements that, together, characterize this distinctive intervention:


The wall: serving as the public/private boundary, unifying all lots into one cohesive overall project, rather than separate, disconnected parts.

The courtyard: where the bedrooms overlook, allowing for a more ambitious program on a narrower lot without sacrificing the dual circulation that dignifies the interior space.

The rooftop terrace: experiencing the roof as a privileged space for sun exposure, views, and intimacy compared to the ground floor.

The rooftop access stairs: a repeated and expressive element in the ensemble.

The chimney: vertical elements that, through repetition, contrast with the prominent horizontality of the main wall/beam.

The pool: a prominent feature in the garden, to the east, with a free and organic design.

The garden: organically follows the pool's design, dematerializing the lateral and southern boundaries of the lot.

The vault: a distinguishing element and the hallmark of the new development, with an unusual geometry and unique spatial qualities within.
